Patriotic War II,2417657,1985 Jubilee Award
Here is Order "Patriotic War" II #2417657. A run-of-the-mill seperated example of the widespread 1985 Jubilee award.

With the new updates to podvignaroda finally a deeper insight can be revealed.
Taking the name from the matching document, Vera Fedorovna Voloschenkova (Вера Федоровна Волощенкова) the shown results are returned. Vera Fedorovna Voloschenkova, Born 1915 in Roslavl, Smolensk Oblast awarded on 6th June 1985 (not 11th March 1985 as stated on all generic documents). No other awards listed.

Maybe I'm being too negative here, but I would like to point out that this is a dangerous way of conducting research. You have no proof whatsoever that the Vera Voloschenkova on Podvig Naroda is the one whose OPW you have. The only argument that can be made is that it's not a very common name.
The same goes for all these labor awards you have been posting in the researchers corner. Remember that quite often more than one decree was issued on one day, and that many decree databases are incomplete, even though they purport to be complete. Again, you can't be sure that these civilians were decorated by the decree that you could coincidentally find for that specific day. As long as you haven't connected an award serial number to a prikaz (through for example a record card), or seen a recipient's name listed in a specific decree, you can't be 100% sure that you have made a legit match. Just my two cents... By the way, it's not 'Order "Patriotic War"' but 'Order of the Patriotic War'. Genitive case. |

Re: Patriotic War II,2417657,1985 Jubilee Award
That is not sosimple. In many citations they say "dostoin nagrazhdenia ordenom "Otechestviennaya Voina" or things like that. I know that award documents say "orden otechestvennoi voiny", but wih the other form used in citaions we may understand the confusion.

I know what you mean, but that's not the official name, just an unofficial variation in use. Not something we should take over I think.
