Re: Medal "Patriotic War 1944-1945".
Here is a particularly rare example for three reasons.
#1 it shows the rank "Lieutenant General" rather than the usual later "Colonel General". #2 it is hand signed and not stamped. #3 it is an accidental Posthumous award that has been corrected (by the minister himself it seems). #109838 awarded to Dimit'r Belev Belinov on 26th July 1951.

Here is the Posthumous Type following in the Tsarist tradition that was borrowed from the Germans in the 1930's. Around Bulgarians 20,000 died fighting against the Axis though only 10,124 as part of the Bulgarian People's Army.

Re: Medal "Patriotic War 1944-1945".
Here is a very tidy example of the Medal.
455,000 of the Bulgarian People's Army participated in the Patriotic War against the Axis, mainly in Yugoslavia. the Bulgarian First Army (c130,000) advanced well into Germany and contacted the British Eighth Army on V-E Day.

Here is what seems to be a run of the mill example.

Re: Medal "Patriotic War 1944-1945".
#030837 awarded to Lieutenant Mije Vladimir Horvatić - A Yugoslavian, more precisely a Serbian. Dating from circa mid-late 1948.
Awards to Yugoslavians are considerably more obscure than awards to Soviets. Unfortunately I can't find any more information on Horvatić in Latin or Cyrillic Serbian or Bulgarian Cyrillic.

Re: Medal "(For Participation In The) Patriotic War 1944-1945".
Here is #075870 issued to Soviet Engineer-Captain Vsevolod Sergeevich Epifanov, Commander Of The Park Battery, 547th Anti-Tank Artillery Regiment Reserve Of The High Command.
Going by the number, this was probably issued around 1950.
