Table Medal "50 Years Of The All-Ukrainian Cheka".

I have a few "desk" or "Table medals" as they are often called and I don't see a logical place to post any of them. Some of them are really quite elegant and interesting for many reasons. Most of the ones I have are KGB or MVD related (surprise:rolleyes:), but this one I just picked up but am still waiting for it. It reminds me of the similar-looking statue used on the 50th anniversary of the All-Ukranian Cheka (KGB) badge. I do not think it has anything to do with the KGB but to me it just looks cool in it's simplicity compared to some of the other far more ornate ones. I also do not recognize the maker mark. Most important these days, the price was more than right.;)

I like these soviet table / desk medals, too. I have around 15 different pieces in my collection. Some are very good artwork.

I will post a few pictures of them here later.

I suppose I will do the same unless a moderator moves this to an appropriate location.

I'm hoping to be getting several more in the next couple of months and the artwork can be quite impressive. Though many of them are for anniversary of the victory in the GPW, there are several interesting "combinations" and other types of these including for schools - but I'm sure you know that.
