Here's the Pridnestrovie (Pridnestrovie Moldavian Republic) Medal for Irreproachable Service, 3rd Class (10) Years. Good weight, pretty nice medal. Nickel with spot clear enamel (more or less similar to what's on the USSR Combat Cooperation Medal). Bears the Pridnestrovie seal within the Ministry of the Interior's shield.

A detail of the front... the initials on the shield are the initials for the country (PMR) in three languages primarily heard; Russian, Moldavian and Ukrainian.

Um...ambiguous answer to two questions, wouldn't you say?;) However, since there were no other photos then or now, I have to assume the second question about identity issues is the one the answer applies to.

I have to wonder that since the medals and badges (and related documents) I've seen from this area are really very much like the former Soviet predecessors, if the system of government is much the same as well. Mind you, before I get slammed for my ignorance of the current political situation in this region, understand that I haven't taken the time to study half of what I should about the area. So I beg for mercy here...:)

Here's the 1st (red background) and 2nd classes of the award; somewhat difficult to get. The backs are the same as the 3rd.

I believe the 1st class is for 30/20 years, while the 2nd class is for 20/15 years, but I cannot explain the different lengths of service.

Here is a Saint Petersburg produced 3rd Class. It seems to have had some wear, but the price was minimal - the PMR is not in the best position in the world these days.
