this is my soviet medical captain shoulder board.

Very nice but it's the field officers shoulder board M1943 used till 1946. However rank stars (this style was introduced in 1954) and button (used on 1946+ boards) are wrong. If you can find the correct early flat type stars and grooved button you'd be golden!
Here is the picture of the narrow field ones from my collection, I also have loads of everyday narrows, but that's the whole different story.
Please note that some have green-painted insignia (1943 regulations clearly noted silver or golden-color depending on branch insignia/emblem and golden button.)
The picture is way over-compressed I don't know why we have so low 50K limit.

I am not sure if the button is wrong, but the branch insignia look aluminium to me - like from late 60's at best. Possibly someone "improved" an original board with new insignia - stars and emblem
