Document for the Medal Defense of the Soviet Artic issued to Senior Sergeant Fedor Trofimovich Yermakov dated July 17th, 1945 by the Chief of Staff of the Separate Military Field Post of Communications, Maritime Group of Forces, Lieutenant-Colonel Myaskovsim, Serial #G013639.

This is my newest document. It came with a VOG also. I believe his name is Vukmor Andreivich Tukalo? (I'm trying to learn how to read these better). Can anyone shed any more light on this?

Guards Senior Lieutenant Viktor Andreevich Girkalo of 318th Guards Rifle Regiment.
Head of the Chemical Units of the Regiment. Also awarded a OPWII and Red Star. Here is his VOG Act.

Both the Defense of the Soviet Artic and Victory over Germany documents are issued to Guards Senior Lieutenant Viktor Andreevich Gurkalo. The Victory document is dated August 26th, 1945, and signed by the Commander of the 318th Guards Red Banner Infantry Regiment, Major-General Gribor'yev. Having trouble making out the date, stamp, issuing unit, & signator on the Defense of the Soviet Artic. Regardless, it is a nice set!
Your man is #5 on the AKT. Note the serial number in the right hand column (V00229298) corresponds, or should anyway, with the serial number on the reverse of the Victory over Germany document. Last edited by Bill Garvy; 11-14-2016 at 06:39 PM. |
