drawing tutorials for orders wanted!
Gentlemen:
Could you tell me where I can get drawing tutorials for soviet awards? (if they´re online, will be best.) Or if you have scans of them, can you post them? Thanks! Esteban

PC Drawings.
If I remember correctly Esteban likes drawing on his PC and then using the pics to design T-shirts with soviet Motives.
The only other way I can think of would be to draw the Motive by hand, Scan it, enlarge as nessesary and then use it. Eddie.

Hi Esteban,
That's what I thought you wanted, a pic showing the scale and angle of the main features in relation to each other. However I haven't been able to find anything yet. I had a go last night to import scans into my Technical Drawing programms but they are just not designed for that sort of work. Maybe it is possible but I just haven't found a way yet. I'll experiment further for you. If I find a way then it would be no problem to make your Tutorials from scratch. Eddie.

Esteban,
Ohhh OK. now I know what you are looking for. I've done similar work like this a few years back for the older version of this website. Take a look at the attachment. I simply drew over an actual award using Adobe Illustrator. Trying to match every curve and line to the original sometimes winds up not capturing the feel of the award. I had fun with this and had plans to do a screwback Order of the Red Banner of Labor but never got to it. Art

Art,
That´s a very good work, much better than mine! I use Microsoft PictureIt! 99, and the results are somewhat similar. The goal that I expect to achieve now is to paint some orders (Lenin, RB, OGPW, RBL and Guards badge) on my bedroom´s wall(the only section of it who´s not filled up with aircraft and Evangelion posters ), like Pravda and other organizations when they show pictures of their awards in their logos and publicity. This is the pic made by me used for making my t-shirt Esteban

I love your Lenin Order and think it is a beautiful graphic representation. Does your statement mean you are not completely satisfied because you copied it accurately or do you mean you made some slight changes trying to capture the feel? How long did it take?
