More Ribbon Bars !
And here is a bigger one !
Not less than 12 awards, I know most but the second in first row puzzles me  often the colours in this kind of ribbons get a little strange, but I cant find any match? Backside of all shown ribbon bars is of the same type , see my last one for example. |

And here is the latest addition to my collection
:D A really BIG Ribbon bar, from a Mongolian General 32 Awards in all. I have found out the most but 3rd ribbon 4th row is unknown ? probably foreign but from where ? and the first three in last row + the last red one is also unknown. could be some sort of state prizes ? I wish I could find some info about Mongolian Generals. I am trying to discover the owner behind this impressive Ribbon Bar, and I have reached some conclusions with help from other collectors 1. He was not an Military General (lack of Military Orders) 2. Probably an Minister ? Scientist / Academic 3. Most probably a Hero of Labor Mongolia IF he was a HLM I have about 400 to choose from and I know only 6 right know, does anyone know any Hero Labor people ? Research is almost as funny as finding the item itself :) Best regards Christer Last edited by CtahhR; 02-13-2012 at 11:19 AM. |

This first one has 18 ribbons! Among them 3 Orders of the Polar Star! I believe I identified them all, but if there is an error please let me know. From left to right: 1- Mong. Order of Combat Valor 2- Mong. Order of the Polar Star 3- Mong. Order of the Polar Star 4- Mong. Order of the Polar Star 5- Mongolian Order of the Red Banner of Combat Valor 6- Mong. Honorary Medal of Combat 7- Mong. Medal We Won 8- Soviet Medal for Vict. over Japan 9- Soviet Medal for Vict. over Germany 10- Mong. Medal 25 Years of the MPR 11- Mong. Medal 40 Years of the MPR 12- Mong. Medal 30th Anniv. of the Vict. at Khalkhin Gol 13- Mong. Medal 50 Years of the Mong. People's Army 14- Mong. Medal 50 Years of the State Security of the MPR 15- Mong. Medal 50 Years of the Mong. People's Revolution 16- Mong. Medal 30th Anniv. of the Vict. over Militaristic Japan 17- Mong. Medal 40 Years of the Vict. at Khalkhin Gol 18- Mong. Medal 60 Years of the Mong. People's Revolution Questions: I don't know why the Order of the Red Banner of Combat Valor comes after the 3 Orders of the Polar Star! Is that correct?! Having those two Soviet Medals apparently he fought side by side with the Red Army! But I also wonder why he has a Medal for the State Security! Was he later after the War on the Mongolian KGB?! As you see you're not the only one collecting them, I have some 16, but none compared to yours with 32 ribbons! :wow I can confirm that #15 is indeed for the Mong. Medal Friendship. As for the others with a ? sorry I can't help but I simply don't know! #28: I don't know if there was a ribbon for the Mongolian State Prize Medals! At least Dr. Battushig doesn't show any on his book! In the meantime have you managed to find out who was this important guy? Cheers, Dolf Quote:
