His service ID from 1967 - a standard Soviet Army officer ID.
He is also wearing an Air Force officer uniform, which indicates that the unit nr13709 was air force unit (It's the 57th Air Army, as will be explained later). It gives his rank as colonel since 1954 and his position as "deputy chief of a detachment of the military unit 13709 |

Re: Petruhin, Aleksandr Efremovich, Colonel, SMERSH/Special Detachments MGB/MVD/KGB
His 1972 KGB reserve officer ID issued by the directorate of the KGB of the Lvov Oblast.
He is again wearing army uniform (he probably never had a KGB one) - this time of the Armor Troops. Gives his education as higher - KGB Higher School in 1960. Also mentions his military education in the Armor Troops Officer School named after Lenin in 1938 His rank is again given as colonel since 1954, but this time by the order of the KGB, not NKO. |

His 1972 KGB pensioner ID, with the stamp of SBU for Lviv Oblast meaning that his pension and privileges were recognised by the new Ukrainian government.
Shows pension of 200 Rubles for serving 42 years. It also has the stamp allowing him to wear military uniform and another one stating that he is a disabled person of the 2nd group and that his condition is related to his military service. I have, however, no idea as to what the medical document glued to it says - the handwriting is very medical indeed. |

Re: Petruhin, Aleksandr Efremovich, Colonel, SMERSH/Special Detachments MGB/MVD/KGB
Even though his service record from TsA MO was not complete, I have his party record booklet which shows his career.
He became a party candidate in 1940 and a full member in 1941. The number of the party ID doesn't match, but since the one listed is M54... He probably got a new one and it was not noted. His father was a main accountant, his mother - a housewife. HE had higher education, Ulianovsk Armor Troops Officer School in 1938 and KGB higher school in 1960. His speciality is given as "Soviet Army Officer, Lawyer" Had no scientific title and had the following awards: 2 ORS, OPW2 and 9 medals; Veteran of Labor in 1977 30 Years of victory in 1975 60 years of armed forces in 1978 40 years of victory in 1985 ... |
