This thread has been dormant for a long time, but since I just saw this on for sale (about $3500) I have to know a couple of things. First, how incredibly rare is this (to merit such a high asking price) and second, was it made from solid gold (asked for the same reason as the first question)?:rolleyes:

It's beautiful, yes, but that pricey?

Perhaps since we haven't seen much action in this thread they are that scarce.

It may be rare, but so is my belly-button lint. Whether they'll find anyone who needs to spend $3500 for it is indicative of the fact that they haven't found a purchaser since 2008...

I certainly don't know about $3500, this was a good bit less than 2% of that price. It's not gold so 4 digits is certainly out of the question considering the demand on "regional" items.
