Re: Podvig question: paper watermark?
Javisst.
Why not recycle and reuse? Try not to get a papercut.

Re: Podvig question: paper watermark?
It seems to be, yes. I googled "leykam hartpost 1935" and found many results. In fact it seems "leykam hartpost 1935" paper is still a current product.

Re: Podvig question: paper watermark?
Why not? I have a Polish document from 1945 as a token of gratitude from the high command for crossing the Oder River typed on the back of german company paper. But indeed - ironical - To express gratitude for fighting the Germans on their own paper

Re: Podvig question: paper watermark?
That irony could very well have been the purpose. I have seen quite a few citations on German, Czech, and even Chinese paper, like the citation below. I can't imagine the Red Army was that low on paper that they had to resort to procuring paper locally.

Re: Podvig question: paper watermark?
Do we really believe they'd squint at the watermark before writing up the recommendations on whatever was at hand, from whatever source?

Re: Podvig question: paper watermark?
Than You would be realy surprised. In the rear they maight have had enough paper, but at the front lines paper was often a rare resource. I even read a diary of a veteran, who, according to his own words, made it on the every piece of paper he would find, which was hard, as most of the soldiers used any pis of paper to make cigarets. Even after the war many official institutions used captured paper.
