Fake Guarding the State Border Medals
Guys,
It's impossible to tell for sure from a dark and blurry scan. This medal has certain "water marks" and I can't see any of them. Alexei |

Alexei,
Thanks for looking. Tell me where, I could try and bring up a better image. I do need a better scanner :( Sergei |

Here goes again.
I'm obsolutely clueless when it comes to this medal (and Saving from Drowning medal), so i'm not even gonna try to find anything good or bad with this one. Unfortunetly this are some of the better scans i could obtain. |

Nexorcist,
You are right, the scans are a bit so-so. From the look of it, I rather like this medal. Marc |

I am undecided. The reverse looks good, but I don't like the obverse - the ring is kinda weird, and look at the nose on that soldier!

Re: Fake Guarding the State Border Medals
I think it is difficult to judge from this poor scan, but I hope that someone will try: this item went unsold at an auction in northern italy, about 2 months ago.
It gives me a bad impression, however I never saw this medal elsewhere than in photo. Thank you sergio |

Sergio,
I don't like it. Just to start, the ring is off center to the left !!! Marc |
