Fellow collector states this one is Albanian Partisan Star 1st class.

Note similarities to Yugoslavian Partisan Star.

There was a 1st class for sale on eBay a few weeks back for $850 but no one bid on it.

Even though it's rare there's barely any demand for Albanian items.

I agree there's little demand for Albanian awards, but there was low interest in Bulgarian, as well as in Mongolian and Yugoslavian awards few years ago - and look what happened recently with the prices.

Collectors look for new fields to collect and will collect whatever country looks cool and is affordable.

With Soviet items being out of reach - I'd say these exotic countries have a chance. I mean the set I posted was offered for about $500 - what rare Soviet item can you buy for $500? Not even a common Lenin...

It's rare set, but for some reason I've seen several for sale during last month.

I understand the 1st class awards were pretty costly, but I managed to just pick this one up just over $100.

It would be pretty costly if it's the MonDvor made one. If it's not they are made of silver or bronze imo

This is another of the Eastern Bloc Partisan "stars" I picked up on the cheap side. I have no way of knowing who (which mint) made this one because there are no markings that I know to look for on this 3rd class version.

I was also sure that the seller had just stuck the screw nut on from a Soviet order, but now that I finally saw some pictures of the reverse here, I see that these were used.

It's neither exciting or dull, in my view, and they certainly are bigger than most in my experience. The first two pictures are without and with a flash, respectively.

Here's a nice 3rd Class that was attached to a uniform for a considerable period, hence the "fresh" reverse.

Looks like an original, possibly unissued Type 2 (Plated copper).

This 3rd Class has seen some action of its own. The price was far too good to take notice of its wounds.
