Red Banner Of Labour.
I'd appreciate any advice on the attached Red Banner of Labour.
Is it a genuine 1936 Var.2 ? The pictures on site advise these have slightly curved or curved lettering on the "Mondvor" whereas this ones lettering appears straight. |

Thanks for your opinion Tal, think I'll leave it.
I believe the serial number is in the low 10,000 range. Best regards, Terry |

Watch it! The total numbers of tipe 2a (shiskov/Muzalevsky) is about 7000.
So number 10000+ is.........not too good. |

Order Red Banner Of Labor
I was researching my limited collection of orders and I came across this. I thought it was a type 5 variation 2, but the mint mark is curved with the ABOP below in a straight line. It seems to me to be a short oval, but maybe it is a type 3 variation 1?
The serial # is 900403 if that helps. Any thoughts? Thanks! |

High/Low Serial numbers for the Order of the Red Banner of Labor
This thread is for posting newly observed high and low serial numbers for the Order of the Red Banner of Labor. As everyone knows, Paul McDaniel's book is somewhat outdated for the serial number ranges he gives, so all members are asked to look at their RBL's and post here anything which is out range for their respective type and variation..Please post an image of your award if possible. For those who don't have McDaniel's book and would still like to participate, you can see most of these on the main site: http://www.soviet-awards.com/orders6.htm#order12

Eric,
Don't you think it could have been done by the Administration / Organization having awarded it, more than by the awardee himself ? Ch. |
