Medical/Vet Visor

Here are some pics of another one of my visors. This time I had a buddy of mine take the pictures since I am pretty bad with a camera. Plus he uses much better camera then I own. Comments from everyone welcome.

Sweatband is leather. If the future I can get more detailed shots if anyone would like them (for any of my visors actually) but my friend who takes these nicer ones lives a bit away from me so it just would take some time. Thanks Clete

Thanks Clete!

It is a nice cap.
I suppose that the liner inside is silk/silk-like.

Clete,

Looks nice. As a medical-related G.O. service cap, however, I believe it should have the gold or silver double cord chin strap to be 100% accurate - not the leather one.

Could be Slava but I have had several over the years with this type of leather band instead of gold/silver chin straps. But only on daily wear visors and never on dress models. This hat has all the characteristics of a general's visor so if the chin cord is the only issue then I can live with that.

I was under the impression they could come that way with the leather chin strap being a bit more rare if you will. Now I need to find those pictures I had of generals with this sort of strap. I know I have seen it in use before but I need to find those pics. When I do I will post them or if anyone else has any fotos of this style chin strap please post them. Thanks Clete

Clete,

If this was the entirely olive drab green G.O. "field" service cap I would certainly agree with you. As you know, those used the "flat" leather chin strap that was also dyed olive drab green.

The black flat chin cords were done on generals service caps; i have had in a few examples (as has Clete) and here are numerous photos of them being worn with this style of service cap.
