I have a few documents that feel like they could crumble into pieces at any second if handled improperly. Are there any threads about document preservation other than keeping them in plastic?

Oh, about the problem with medals and other items falling out of the tops of sheet protectors, try this - double sided scotch tape. I don't know how long the little strips will last opening and closing whenever (I just came up with the idea while at Hobby Lobby), but for now they are working great.

And thank you for the compliment on my collection. Those are the kinds of things that keep me motivated to do the tedious work in order to display them.
