Ministry Of Defence Military Identification Booklets.
Here is what seems to be a rather plain Cold War period Military Identification Booklet but it has a few twists....
Issued to Private Anatolij Vasil'evich Botnar', a "Ukrainian" born in Palanca, Călărași District of the Kingdom Of Romania on 17th July 1931, Non-Partisan and educated to 7th Class. Conscripted in April 1952 by Kalarash Regional Military Commissariat, Moldavian SSR and released to the Reserves by the Directorate Of General Staff Of The Army in April 1955. A simple 3 year stint. A rifleman in the Main Administration Of Camps, Ministry Of Internal Affairs (GULAG MVD).
