Here is a trio (believed to be a complete group) to Ioan Florea Dumitru. A submariner of the NMS Marsuinul (The Mereswine/The Harbour Porpoise/Phocoena Phocoena) during Romania's "Crusade against Communism". Later an officer of the Romanian People's Navy and finally the Romanian People's Army.

Groups to Axis Submariners are rare enough to come across let alone those that were also awarded by a Communist Regime.

Dumitru participated in 100% of the combat missions of the NMS Marsuinul (1 of them), one of only three Romanian Submarines to participate in combat patrols during World War Two.
