Fake Jubilee & Anniversary Medals

I wouldn't bet my life (or my collection) on it, but I'd say it is real. No stray enamel and it seems to reach the points of the star, grass looks "combed" and all the details are there on the soldier. The only thing I am in the least "iffy" about is the patina on the obverse, but even that can be normal if someone used to shine the medal and then stopped. If it is a fake, someone went to a great deal more trouble than most.;)

Hello. These were originally made with glass enamel; am I not correct? I have seen very good fakes of these medals; all with epoxy enamel.

KDVR: Naturally occurring pitting in the silver and normal wear for its age makes me lean towards good. It is actually a good sign to me that the medal is without suspension because that is probably more likely than not. Having said all that, I have to add that some more pictures would be needed, especially around the boots and ground on the reverse.

I have checked the wight again: 24.20 g - should be accurate scale

The first picture had what I was looking for - the "combed" grass. It's a cool effect you can only see at the right angles and in the right light. If the closeups of the lacquered star points show this kind of detail (and I think they will), you have yourself a very good opportunity. This of course is subject to the asking price of the seller (please don't tell me because it would only make me sad and happy at the same time).:)
