MVD 55-69 cap - Page 2

This particular cap could very well indeed date from the late 60s, but for soldiers and sergeants, I would think that it still would have the star cockarde - the M64 type. Of course officers would use the oval cockarde.

Or am I to understand that all MVD troops were officers?

I expected this to be an early cap because the wool material is still used.

But i have caps m69 that have the wool material on the crown either so maybe this doesn't really Mather.

Normally i wouldn't temper with a cap unless it is for sure wrong.

In this case, the cap and all badges look like they have been there longer than im old. But i so love the first 2 piece officers badges.
