Re: Academy badges
Just found this on E!, for sale by the NJ dealer.
How much would be a reasonable price for it? Too bad is for US only:( Last edited by Esteban_cool; 07-06-2008 at 06:42 PM. |

Fake Academy Badges
There are a lot of Military Academy graduation badges around currently.
Does any one know if those are official issues that replaced silver ones or kind of re-strikes? They are very well made of german silver, brass, enamels but have a plain back with no mint or factory marks of any kind. For example like these. Thanks |

Re: Recent batch of graduation badges
Hi,
You need to post pictures of the back when you want something evaluated. These look "new" - the old ones have staples on the back. See the following thread for pictures of an "old" one: http://www.soviet-awards.com/forum/s...html#post79923 Simon |

Re: Recent batch of graduation badges
While they do indeed look new, they are not as awful as the obvious copies sold at some locations and that origin from the baltic states.

Re: Recent batch of graduation badges
Here is the back.
Like I said, they are well made, heavy pieces with nice enamel and details. They do not look or feel like cheap fakes, but there are no rivets or marks on the back. Name plates are glued. Just curios what they are and who makes them. Thanks |
