Curiously, while he's wearing an updated parade cap (presumably a special kind just for the Cossacks, given the colors), he's wearing a traditional Soviet, rather than Russian, parade belt.

Yes, it is so called "cossack" of Russian Federation.
I use words "so called" because these "cossacks" have no in common with cossacks of Russian Empire and Stalin's Red Army cossack corps... |
