Many, many thanks to CtahhR for all his recent posts on DPRK awards. The informatyion is very valuable and represents this forum at its very best.

Thank you very much. I am very happy to share what I have learnt about DPRK awards and have also been very encouraged by messages from numerous forum members on the subject. As information on DPRK awards is not very public and in fact only a very few actual Korean names for their own awards were even mentioned on the internet before I taught myself how to read and write Korean just for the purpose of further understanding their award system. Information is still rather sketchy and "hit and miss" on quite a few awards and it is unknown if more information will ever be available but whatever I can find out I will share.

I've had a great difficulty in collecting and understanding DPRK awards just as any other collector would have and hopefully the hard earned information I have collected and supplied to all here can help all collectors of DPRK items in general. It is also unfortunate that along with a universal lack of information sources on the subject of DPRK awards there is also a lot of misinformation out there, most of which is to propagate profits. Hopefully I can help people make informed decisions on the subject.

I have gather quite large amounts of information on other subjects through this forum and hope to continue to do so. Any posts I can supply which can offer information not previously covered is just a small gesture in returning a larger favour.

Stay tuned for a considerable amount more on DPRK awards and when I've finished that I'll move on to Bulgaria. Definitely not heard the last from me!

Thank you for all the encouragement it makes it far easier to spend all day crouched over a camera and staring at the backs of dozens upon dozens of awards looking for the slightest variation.
