Re: About the "Assistance Needed....." thread
Paul,
Why such an aggressive type of message? Did I hit someone's nerve? I don't have a problem with Moderators having private talks, but then they should keep them private!!! If they make them visible to all, but prevent non-moderators from answering a request for help/assistance, please explain the logic of it to me because I am at a loss here. Marc PS: and no, I don't have any intent to go away. Sorry, guys, you'll have to keep putting up with me ![]() Last edited by Lapa; 02-10-2012 at 12:04 PM. |

Re: About the "Assistance Needed....." thread
Actually yes, condescending sarcasm does irritate me, and judging from the PMs I received - others too.
The thread I was refering to was created in the Administration thread by a Moderator who was asking for assistance with an OFN. He posted a couple of postage stamp-sized pictures and, for whatever reason, only moderators could answer; mere mortals did not have the right to reply and post in that thread. After I brought it up, the thread "disappeared"... |

Re: About the "Assistance Needed....." thread
I don't know what this is all about, not having seen the thread, but rest assured, there exists no method to post a public message that is answerable by a select usergroup. If such a thing did exist, particulalry with the moderator group, I certainly wouldn't activate it for public display on this forum. Private messages exist for such a thing and would defeat the open nature of the forum. So, let's chalk this up as a bug and move on. The thread was deleted, probably by the moderator that posted it after realizing something was amiss. Let's relax, no secret stone-masonesque awards group exists.
