Here is the 1969 book Brief History Of The Revolutionary Activities Of Kim Il Sung authored by "The Party History Institute Of The Central Committee Of The Workers' Party Of Korea". Printed by the Foreign Languages Publishing House in Pyongyang.

The book is certainly an "interesting" read.
To me it reads in a way very similar to the New Testament with Kim Il Sung, national saviour, following on from the Old Testament comprised of the works of Marx, Engels and Lenin. Similar to many prints of the New Testament all quotes of the Leader are printed in bold. To say that the "evil" in the book is Japan later replaced by "Yankees" it is strange that the English used in it is American English and not true English.

Lots of rhetoric that can be reused with a minimal amount of modification.

There is a smattering of pictures. Some are clearing photo-shopped and those that are not are obvious artists renderings.

The book covers Kim Il Sung's history up to mid-1968.

Certainly worth the dollar it cost but nowhere near as good a read as Brezhnev's "Little Land".

It is nice to see "on-the-spot guidance" is not a recent phenomenon although it has now been renamed "field guidance".
