Even more amazing when you realise I got the set (unseen) for $33 delivered.
I may look into purchasing some of his books if I find a good source for them.

I find it interesting that only his pre-Chief Judge awards were sold, I am curious what happened to his late awards. I am sure he had plenty!!! |

I may have the in them collection already. I have vast numbers of Bulgarian items yet to be explored. Now over 200 groups in the collection and "research" not yet begun. I only targeted this recipient due to the fact that Bulgarian Jewish names are far from commonplace.
Bulgarian items cost a mere fraction of Soviet items so it has been easy to pile the items up faster than they can be fully sorted let alone researched. Nearly all Communist Bulgarian awards were for service or merit to the state awarded on jubilees. Far from the interests of collectors wanting combat awards from 1941-5.

I collect it all. I have items handed out by Knjaz Alexander on his enthronement day to a 2010 award to a Bulgarian politician. Pre-European War (1915-18) documents are particularly difficult to find. I was once offered a pile of about 30 them for Medals/Orders dating 1880s-90s (and often signed by the Knjaz himself) for £1 each but at the time had absolutely no funds.
I had a feeling more would present itself.... A 17th April 1963 awarded Badge "For Active Activity" Gilt by the National Soviet Of The Fatherland Front. As an update, there are now over 450 Bulgarian groups or partial groups in the collection. That being said I have not yet opened all the packages of Bulgarian items so that number will increase or at "worst" groups continue to reunite.
