Here is another ground dug order, this time its Glory III class. Found in Gdańsk-Oliwa forest in 2010.

Silver was in near mint condition, forest soil had preserved it wery well.

Hill near Gdańsk Zoo was place of fearsome fight in march 1945.

After six years, order catch some nice patina.

So award stay in ground for 65 years. It hang on recipent chest not longar than 7 months.


Nikolai Viktorivic Padalko, senior seargant from 1261 Rifle Regiment (381th Division).

citation:

"During forcing of Finish defensing line at the Karelian isthmus near Black River 08.061944 to secure shorten way for telephonic line he (together with comrades) secure 6 anti-tank mines and 26 anti-personal landmines.
Thank to that effort communication was established on time.
In the fights on the right bank of river Vuoksa from 30.06 till 7.07.44 during building of fortify point under enemy artillery fire, he was effective and fearless and so the work was done on time.
5.07.44 he join assault team, and took active part in clearing of the right bank of Vuoksa river. Together with first troopers he reach hill, clearing his path with granades and machinegun.
In this fight he personally kill 3 Fins”
