Comrade Avetisjan participated in the Patriotic War on the North Caucasus Front as a rifleman in the 62nd Naval Rifle Brigade from 12-08-1942 and participated in the defence of the city of Ordzhonikidze in storming the the village of Molgobek and following liberation from German-Fascist invaders of the Northern Caucasus in the staff of the 18th Mechanised Brigade, 4th Guards Tank Army participating in the battles for Orov, Smolensk directions /according to his word/ and in battle for the Socialist Homeland 24th July 1943 was heavily wounded and had a bout of traumatic neurosis in the left elbow joint, after a bullet wound to the left forearm was treated at evacuation hospital 1494.
At the current time atrophied left forearm and Invalid of the Patriotic War Second Group /according to the certificate of wounding/
