Sent to the reseves of the VMS according to the order of the commander in cief of the VMS r. 2008 of 21.12.1954, wit right to wear military uniform with special insignia on shoulderboards (idicating reserve). Paticipation in the GPW: 6.1941-8.1941 - Division's physician - Southern Front 9.1941-6.1943 - chief of veterinary field hospita - Southern Front and South-westernern Front 6.1943-12.1943 - Senior assistant chief of the veterinary command - 3rd Ukrainian Front. Information on being sent tothe reserve on 10.02.1955 - not sure if because of health problems, exceeding age limit (50 for lt. col., and he was 54) or because of the reduction of Veterinary service (no cavalry at that time in the Army, decreasing number of horses in other branches) |

Re: Lt. col. Iosif Moisyeyevich Dbrovskiy - veterinarian
Order booklet issued in 1946 with privillages since 1943.
Lists 2CSMs, ORS, and ORB added later. The last entry looks like a crude fake, but since he indid got a long service ORB in 1951, i believe it is original. His 1985 OPW 2 booklet |
