A Type 1 Soldier's Cross IV Class awarded "For showing bravery and excellence in the Liberation War of 1912-1913" to Bombardier of the 4th Artillery Of Our Name Regiment (His Majesty's 4th Artillery Regiment) Hristo Topalov on 9th January 1914. Document #8206.
The 4th His Majesty's Artillery Regiment served under the 1st Infantry Sofia Division as part of the First Army during the war with a strength of 26 cannons. They participated in the Lozengrad Offensive Operation (9th-11th October 1912) and were at the driving front of the battles of Gechkenli and Seliolu before faltering - by which time the Ottomans were well defeated however.
