Has had wounds or contusions during the Patriotic War, Not Had 9. From which time in the Red Army, From 1942. 10, To which Regional Military Commissariat called, Topchihinsk Regional Military Commissariat, Altaj Kraj 11, Has been awarded, Not been awarded In battle for the Soviet homeland has shown himself to be bold, wilful commander, with perfect knowledge of his affairs. During the month of June 1944 Comrade Zhuravlev was the senior worker of the distinct battery in the region of Orsha. During the period of artillery offensive during the breakthrough of long-term, deep-echeloned enemy defences 20th February 1945 in the region of Priekule, Comrade Zhuravlev worked with distinction as commander of the platoon of management of the battery in the shortest time, thanks to his good work scouting observations of the enemy giving precise co-ordinates of firing enemy emplacements, that during the period of the artillery offensive gave destructive and suppressing fire from the battery, which provided a contribution to the advance of our infantry. Comrade Zhuravlev, Valentin Ivanovich is worthy of the governmental award Order "Red Star". Commander 250th Mortar Regiment Lieutenant-Colonel Maksin It looks like it was quite difficult to get an award during this push at the Kurland Pocket going by the positions and ranks of these few on the Order.
