Thanks for confirming. Well, as far as I'm concerned I guess it's the 1st time I see such piece on the market, but anyway as it's too far from the kind of stuff I can afford, and also not really my favorite kind of awards, I guess I probably never really paid attention. Dolf |

well, the Lenin international prize is not the modest medal it seems to be. For having had one in hands, it is a small medal indeed, but a heavy gold, a magnificent piece of heavy extremly well struck gold, with very sharp and neat details, some polished gold I suppose...not a "basic" republic state prize...
but saddly, a special scale price...

Here are Pablo Neruda (1904–73)'s awards, as displayed in his former house La Chascona, in Santiago (Chile).
Neruda, a Latin American poet and politician was awarded the Lenin Prize for Peace in 1953 and the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1971. In this display are exhibited both of them, as well as his Legion d'Honneur and other awards. He also got an Order of Lenin, not shown in the picture. Ch. Pic : © Christophe – ChR Collection |

Very nice Christophe. I have never been to Neruda´s house!:(
However, the media here always says that he won the Stalin Prize instead of the Lenin, because of his "devotion and loyalty to Stalinism" shown after uncle Joe´s death...
