French-Soviet medal?
Hi!

Actually, I seem to remember having seen one like this before, quite a few years ago. I'd say that, as Paul mentioned, it is some sort of support medal put out by the PCF (French Communist Party). Marc |

It's quite possible, after IIWW many Polish miners came from France, maybe some of them were Soviet sypmpathics. One of my friends said that it could be medal from Normandie-Niemen unit, what do you think? Merry christmas Maciek P.S. Sorry for my english. |

Yes, I agree, this is not a veteran pin. There would be some allusion to an aircraft or the unit's Order of Nevsky. If made after the 50's there probably wouldn't be the glorification of Stalin either.
