Without seeing your other cap, all I can say is that is sounds genuine to me.
Now, regarding the tank cap, I don't get your brown stich bit. Can you please explain (or better, show) more precisely what you mean.

Esteban,

These caps have obviously been worn, and the sweat sometimes tends to alter the print on the diamond.

Marc,

You didn't notice the brown stich simply because I didn't post an image of it as it's on the top of the hat...here's 2 picts just to let You know and see . I think this brown hand-made work will diminish the price of the hat.
Many thanks for Your precious help!:)
I add that unforunately my camera doesn't work yet, from about 20 days...I think I've broken it when I was on vacation: as I opened the suitcase it simply didn't work yet... I wil ask to my girlfr. and "rent" her own to post pict. of my airforce hat...to share :)

DougD, Nack, my thought was only about the possibility they were not genuine...Your (of YOU ALL) opinions and explanations were useful and precious. Nack I agree also with Your point: the risk is to become "FAKEphobics" and paranoids

GUYS THANKS SO MUCH TO ALL !!!

P.S. what happened to Esteban??? banned????

Daniele,

It looks like some moth had a nice lunch with your cap ;) That brown thread is simply someone's (very ugly :thumbsdown) attempt to repair the mothhole. I personally would remove that brown thread, and either leave the hole as is, or try to repair it with some better color-suited thread.

HEhe! They're not my own...yet, but if I'll decide to buy them the moth will be the way to lower the price :D
I agree ...someone made a :hurl job on the top of this hat...for sure he wasn't a tailor!
