Two other new patch additions

I forgot I had these and they turned up today while I was looking through my giant box of duplicates.

The camouflage patch was sewn to a uniform, or shirt/jacket at some point. The back has a very thin cheesecloth type backing with adhesive stiffener.

The other patch I think is Soviet, but I'm not entirely sure. It's also used and rather nondescript.

Re: Two other new patch additions

I'm not certain the one on the left is genuine. Many of these patches including the motorized rifles, though common, have been manufactured for the movie industry (like Red Dawn) and even after the fall. The embroidery and camo pattern are not like anything Soviet I've seen. Even during the height of the Afghan war, subdued or camo patches weren't issued and for concealment, troops simply removed their brightly colored patches.

I want to say the right patch is naval-related, but don't have most of my references here.

Crossed cannons should be red, that would be artillery.

If it was ground forces, it would be red.

The navy had a series of round, black patches, that's why I want to say it's naval - maybe those responsible for the communications between the gunnery systems and the bridge?

My impression was that the camo patch is a modern fake. I chuckle because every time I'm on ebay someone is selling Soviet-style patches that are either subdued or camouflaged, haha.

Well, if anyone wants it, it's up for grabs!
