Acadamy Badge
Picked this up today at a Military show for not to much. Can someone brief me on what it's for and what year it's releveant to?
Thanks Brendan

Re: Acadamey Badge
Brendan,
That would be a badge for graduating from the Dzerzhinsky Artillery Academy. The Soviet CoA shows 16 ribbons, but the construction is of a later type I believe. I just know that these academy badges are widely faked. Marc |

Re: Acadamey Badge
The common baltic fakes rarely/never have rivets for the nameplate, it is usually glued onto the badge.

Re: Acadamey Badge
Thanks guys.
I'm pretty sure it's good. Solid silver, heavy, excellent detail. Also got a pic of the awardee as well. Both myself and Simon concur that it is genuine. We both handled it and had a good look. Thanks for the info. Brendan:thumbsup

Academy Badge
Hallo,
I have recently got this object, I was told being a military accademy attendance badge. I have to admit that I am not very much prepared on the matter, therefore I need your help. I would be glad for any piece of information you can provide on this item. Thanks |

Re: Academy Badge
Hi rocketscientist,
This is a military graduation badge for junior officers, from 1982 to 1991. I have the old versions and I´m looking for the one you have.
