Re: Translation Help
I wonder if the nominating commander was "known" for exaggerating or he'd just got a good drink in him. There is no way we can tell what the situation or mind set was at the time but it does fall in line with the same sort of citation I've seen for Red Stars.

Re: Translation Help
I'd be very interested in what lies under the redaction on line 11. Any notions what that might be, based on similar, previous documents? Related to Buglak's service in the VV NKVD?

Re: Translation Help
Just his address. Addresses are obscured on all citations in the database.

Re: Translation Help
Hopefully the addresses will return again one day. They were on "the site" for a good long while before being obscured.
The addresses sometimes give a really exact location, sometimes it is less accurate and sometimes it is just "with unit".

Re: Translation Help
So no bright sparks go round to those living veterans that have not moved in the last 68 years and harass or burgle them. Something that has unfortunately occurred.

Can you help me with the translation of the document? I only need help with the handwritten parts, the text with typewriter I can translate by myself. Last edited by CtahhR; 09-07-2013 at 05:58 AM. |
