Two more scans sent to me by collectors. Same problem with the small star on the obverse. The serial number is stamped with digits, that were never used by Soviet mints.

This chain has both genuine and non-genuine links. All the round links are very nicely made replacements.

The document seems to be written with a PEN !? In 1944 !? Were pens common at that time - I don`t think so...

the name of the recipient and the award date are o.k. due to information of the russian central archive btw...

Forgers have the same access to the information as you do and often do their homework. There is nothing about either the document or the medal itself that I like.

I would like to see an image of the edge, where you can see where the two pieces were soldered together. This would be helpful. But I don`t like it`s oily and possibly chemical applied patina. The face of Admiral Ushakov looks quite persuading though...
