Re: Fake Orders of the Red Star
Yes, it appears legitimate. Do you have color scans/photographs of the entire Order Book?

Re: Fake Orders of the Red Star
Many Red Stars that had been awarded during World War Two didn't find their way to their recipients until years or even decades later. A great deal of the Red Stars between 3.6 and 3.9 million were actually World War Two "catch-up" awards. This seems to be one of them.

Re: Fake Orders of the Red Star
Thank you very much to all of you for about detailed reply!
Here are additional photos. That serial number's handwriting is differ from name writing style... And that serial number is for 1970s, but it is wrote as Oct.1990. I guessed as seller wrote that order's number in blank serial number section when i received it. |

Re: Fake Orders of the Red Star
Not necessarily. Orders of the Red Star were not conferred in any sort of strict numerical or ordinal sequence. That being the case, it would appear this was awarded for action(s) during September, 1945 but not received until 1990, when the Award Book was filled out. . .

Re: Fake Orders of the Red Star
I have doubt with this too...
This time, with photo. I guess this is not a real photo... I found following stamp under the that photo. Isn't that mean "without photograph"? What do you think? |

Re: Fake Orders of the Red Star
Sometimes they issued a booklet with this stamp, and the awardee would add his photo later (I have one like this). Don't know if that's the case here, but maight be.

Re: Fake Orders of the Red Star
I agree. The fact that the photo isn't stamped suggests that this booklet wasn't issued like this.

Re: Fake Orders of the Red Star
They look good, & as you said, "ultra polished". . .
Any scans/photographs of the obverse sides? Just asking. . . |
