Here is a "Pioneer Of Albanian Sport" Marija Rranzi early in her sporting career, Rrazni died earlier this year at the age of 87. She was famous in Albania for being a "Champion" for 16 consecutive years. Her events of preference were the 100 Metres Sprint and Basketball.

Marija was the third Albanian female ever to participate in an international sporting event. The first 6 all being at the Balkan Games of 1946.
