Prices
Gentlemen,
Just my two cents worth. If you follow the person ( in England) that sold the Lenin for over $600.00 you'll notice that for some reason he seems to get high prices for most of his stuff. I was amazed too at the price for the commmon Lenin. Alanirvine |

I can assure people, living here in the Baltic’s, and a gateway from Russia, that prices are only just beginning to develope.
Firstly I am beginning to see the first signs of a shortage of medals Pat Wars were easy to find and now are very hard to see. I use pat wars as my benchmark a bit like the Mc D index I see a lot of prices for medals that are on par or in excess of stocks held by Internet dealers in the USA who may have got stock in the manyarna time. When they run out and have to restock I think some people will be in for a shock Secondly it has promoted very good and extensively made fakes of all medals, I am now seeing complete stands of fakes The Bogdan second class I believe is their favourite of the month If you see something of interest on a site in the US I suggest you buy it..........cos boy are they going to go up. Thirdly...Russians are getting richer (OK a select group) and they will pay through the nose. My opinion...I am not a dealer BAM medal sold fo $66.00 Tal I am seeing this medal for this price on sale here......and they sell........... Chris |

Chris,
Excellent post. I know that as a dealer, I am having a very, very difficult time restocking my inventory. The prices are just too high and I'm not able to find as many high quality items anymore. Take care, Ed |

Ed,
From my experience I can say that Lenins in Russia are now going for more then their worth in bullion, there is also some strong collecting interest for them. Alexei |

I was told for about 750 euros, even 850 (Petersbourg) for a common Lenin, mainly due to gold prices raisng...still can hardly conceive it...

Charlet,
No, not that much. If you know where to buy them late issue documented Lenins sell for $400-420 in Russia. Still to a foreigned they will be offered for much more than that. Right now I am hoarding any Lenins I can get Alexei |

Sebastien,
I am not sure I understand, what kind of proof are you looking for, and what exactly do I have to prove. Would this be a proof enough? Alexei |
