So if a such uniform had been for sale, you had simply dismissed it as a faked and made-up set? I'd say, this picture shows that it is possible to have a long and successful career and still not recieve the Lenin order..? Or? ;)

Since a cavalier of that order is so rare, and above all a COLONEL, if a uniform like this was showed up on ebay, it was suspicious to begin with, and not just to my eyes.

I REALY find it strange he got no order of Lenin.

I don't think it's that strange, but I do find it strange that he doesn't have a Red Star, Military Merit, or other award which could have also been given for lower achivements that the Homeland was awarded for (military training, weapon/tactic developments, etc.) I'm sure it happened, but I'd bet that this type of group is more the exception than the rule.

Do you have any idea of the date of Zhukov's uniform in the Museum of Political History in St Petersburg ?

There are minor differences in both the medals ribbons and the way to wear them...

No, I don't. :( I do not believe that it was written on the explanation notice either, short of (in Russian, of course) "This is Marshal Zhukov's uniform".

From the style, I'd say probably the 60's, but uniforms are not my field of expertise, far from that.

I found an old photo in a book at my granmas place, showing some Soviet-ukrainian generals and high ranking officers on parade, and one or two of them wore their full medals arrangement on the green service tunic. How common was this appearance, as well as the way to have the medals on the gray parade-walk out tunic?

(I don't have the photo here now, but I can supply it.)
