Alfred,
Rough pics aren't they!
You must have also seen the new Russian Fed Order of personal courage on offer from this guy as well.

He states:

-Laut Herfurter Katalog liegt der Wert bei 860,-Euro

Maybe someone could tell me just which Herfurth Catalogue has the new Russian Federation Orders in it.

Eddie.

Rare Order "Battle of Smolensk"

On german ebay:

"You bid on a rare russian military order in very good condition.

Given to the 85 best sharpshooters at the battle of Smolenz 1944.

Have fun at bidding."

He did not mention the orders had been delivered via time from Petersburg 2004, I think.

Actually, from what I can see of the stamp, and judging by the "MDI" marking (the german acronym for "Ministry of the Interior"), I'm willing to bet that it is an East German (DDR) Grenztruppen ushanka. I have seen this "1856" inkstamp before. I believe it may be a factory code, of some sort. At any rate, a $5-$10.00 hat, TOPS!!
I CAN'T believe that this seller couldn't tell the difference between an almost 150 year old cap, and one around fifteen years old. Some sellers REALLY must think people are stupid!!

I think this one was a bit funny at least. Looks interesting

---------
Great looking and 100% fake but only those who are VERY good at uniforms would know. Many of the badges and medals are real but the medal bar is not. Trousers are 38 with dark blue piping. I used for Halloween throughout the eighty's and caused a sensation. Easy to fool 99% of the people. Add a hat ...cheap these days for better show.Size is large about 44/46. Answer any questions, will not be able to ship before June 11 Thank you for looking...good luck
