Re: Medal "For The Restoration Of The Donbass Coal Mines".
This particular example of the Medal for the Restoration of the Donbass Coal Mines came with the wrong ribbon, a Victory over Germany ribbon, but I was able to replace it with a correct ribbon, and this is the finished product. . .

This is one medal that has escaped me thus far.

Unissued document & medal, although I have no way of telling with any degree of scientific certainty they are indeed a set, it is fortuitous to obtain a blank (unfolded) document and such a pristine example of this medal. . .

Incredible that its existed for 70 years and survived in such great shape. Thankfully no one has filled in the spaces and tried to sell it as such.
Why not just pop Билл Гарвий in there and tell the folks in the street about your time down the mines in the old country? That'd be a fun way to pass the time! |

Another example of a blank document and medal set, a mere four (4) numbers away from my previously posted example. Although I made an offer, it went to another collector. I noted, however, 067224 was folded whereas 067220 was not. . .

Re: Medal "For The Restoration Of The Donbass Coal Mines".
One office obviously had an unissued stockpile that has now leaked out. The folding may be more recent. Many times have I purchased something due to condition only to find it folded into a tiny piece so the seller can profit on postage. Rather discouraging when you buy an unfolded item 80-120 years old only to find it has been damaged to be transported.
Not as bad as when the postman folds vinyl records to fit in the postbox though!
