Re: Stalin badge
Ah, yes, it is right there. Pasha is on the money. Uzbek SSR it is. "Stalin's Campaign for a Higher [Greater/Elevated] Cotton Harvest." 1930s. And according to Avers No. 8 it is worth "400-600" dollars. Don't quote me on that price, I only use any of the Avers books to identify badges, rarely to price them. I know there are threads in here about those catalogs and how off the prices are (either too high or too low).

Re: Stalin badge
Thanks, really appreciate the information. I dont collect badges, but I have accumulated quite a few over the years, Think I'll get the book just to identify them. I just place them in a drawer or box, be interesting to see what they all represent.

Re: Stalin badge
In the Uz Sov beginning, turkic script was official, then it switched to Latin in the 30's, and then (I think) in the later 30's to Cyrillic where it stayed until the 90's when it bounced back and forth a couple times. Today One can even see both Cyrillic and latin on the same billboard in Uzbek with some Russian mixed in. It can be confusing, even after a couple years of seeing it every day.
