I am not sure about alluminum alloy, but I thought tombac would be heavier, wouldn't it?

If anything, it's "good." It stands for "LMD" or Leningrad Mint.

Most orders produced in the late 70's and 80's had the mint mark stamped on the loop.

I believe there were at least three variations:

- "Ispolkom";
- republican; and
- ministries (yours).

All three are common.

Is it true that "Vet of Labor" medals were only given out upon retirement from work or the military?

Also, did military officers ever recieve the "distiguished labor" or "valiant labor" medals?(or any other labor medals?)
