Re: Mystery Jacket

I'll definitely post additional pictures as soon as it is in my hands. It only cost me $30 so I figured it was worth the risk.

Re: Mystery Jacket

30$, why not? :D
And if its not Soviet, then you've still got a NATO jacket I suppose. ;)

Re: Mystery Jacket

how about pictures are they ready yet ?

i have been thinking over this jacket.

in the NATO alliance there exited uniforms for aggressors.

that meant that when they were doing an exercises in the field one party NATO would wear normal there own uniforms.
but the bad guy's mostly soviet wore look a like uniforms so it would look more real.

through the decades this aggressors uniform changed from time to time , and always was a look a like of the most likely enemy of the time

Re: Mystery Jacket

Looks similar to soviet winter work uniforms from 70's. The "modernized telogrieyka" type.

Re: Mystery Jacket

Hi Hatrick,

your jacket is East German. But I´ve never seen this kind of jacket before!

Re: Mystery Jacket

Yes, "MdI" = Ministry of the Interior, i.e. mainly police. I too have no idea what it could be - a work overclothes of some sort?
