It doesn't really apply to the whole 'Soviet Awards' theme, but it does kind of apply to this topic... :)
This is the 'official' "CPSU" stamp which was used during the fall of the USSR and early Russia period by the US Consulate in Moscow to mark the visa request forms of people who had been former 'heavyweights' in the Communist Party. I purchased it from a local fellow who was the Deputy Consul, in charge of processing all visa requests, during the early 90's time period. He had kept it as a 'souvenier'. :) --Dave |
