Re: An award for the forum...
I think it's awesome!
Are you up for some creative criticism? Some things come to me: The hands on the Friendship of Peoples medal, the lines of latitude and longitude on the globe in my Geology badge and on the gerb in the school rhomboids, blue and white enamels are often seen on Soviet awards after the prevelent red. What's to the left of the lower hand? It seems like dead space (or a symbolism I can't see). What about a larger globe with the hands spanning/bisecting it? But there are loads of classic Soviet award's symbolisms in that already; the wheat....thingees, gear cogs, red banner, gold H&S, and the general rays on the lower portion. Just classic stuff there Tommskiy! Extremely well done.

Re: An award for the forum...
Creative criticism is the way forward my man!
I was going for a general "Red Banner of Labour with an OPW stuck on the botom" look with it, with the red and blue enamels. I agree with the space on the lower left side though, there's just nothing there. I couldn't think what to put there at the time and didn't want to stick something in just for the sake of symbolism so left it blank haha. Ps, i didn't even realise the Friendship of Peoples medal had hands on it haha. I guess that shows how much attention i pay to the awards i can't afford! Does the Order of Nevsky have someones face on it or something? Thankyou for the feedback though Eric , It's impossible to ever really learn if you don't see things through other peoples eyes sometimes. Have a nice day people, Tom |

I like it, but I believe "соединяйтесь" would be more proper.

Re: An award for the forum...
I thought about that too. "Soedinyaites" stays true to the Leninist hail, but "obedinyates" is more like "join together" or "come together." Minor semantic difference, but I guess it depends if the designer wants to more associate with the communist slogan or go for his own version.

That is a super cool design. You are a great artist. I wish I had a steady enough hand to so such work.

Really a great design. It looks just like it was designed in the 1920s.
