Dagger looks legitimate. Very nice piece. I'm puzzled that you seem not be bothered if someone swapped original medals for replicas on a uniform that is extra special because the awards and uniform go together.

I agree, it sounds strange. On the other hand, admiral Sergey Gorshkov for example, received the medal for the Capture of Budapest. Can't imagine a soviet fleet lying in the Donau between Buda and Pest...;)

Ok, interesting! How could this navy lt Colonel been awarded the capture of Berlin medal? I know all kind of soldiers were fighting on the German side but did the soviets do that as well?
